AAPT’s Business Connect has been recognised by the Australian telco industry as one of the most innovative products to contribute to the development of the business sector in Australia.

AAPT received the highly commendable award at the 2007 Australian Telecommunications Users Group (ATUG) Awards night, under the ‘Innovations in Communications’ category. The Award recognises the outstanding performance and contributions made by individuals and companies to the communications sector, with the aim of promoting innovation and world best practices in communications products, services and solutions for end users.

AAPT Business Connect is the first fully managed and customised VoIP solution developed especially for Australian Medium Enterprises (ME). It was launched in July 2006 and was upgraded with further capabilities in October 2006.

According to end users, the top features of Business Connect include: its easy-to-manage, all-in-one solution; its reliability and high quality service; its ability to deliver voicemail as email; free inter-office phone calls; and fast internet access.

“Business Connect demonstrates AAPT's success in expanding our existing capability as a telecommunications service provider to a complete ICT provider in the business market,” said Gregg.

The Business Solutions team is currently working on further enhancements to Business Connect. A range of new capabilities are expected to be available by mid year.
