Important things to know

This offer is only available to residential customers who have signed up to an AAPT 2-in-1 bundle plan. If you terminate the Home ChatTM product that is part of your 2-in-1 bundle the 2-in-1 bundle discount will no longer apply and standalone monthly internet access fees will apply.

AAPT LiveNet® services are not available to all homes, or in NT and TAS or on all computers. Self installation is not available to all customers. Approximately 65% of customers experience speeds between 8Mbps and 20Mbps. See Tell me More about Speed. AAPT's Standard Form of Agreement applies. You must have credit approval to set up a new account.

Speed (for both peak and off-peak periods) will be reduced to 256kbps after your monthly peak period download allowance is used in the billing month. Download data transfer count towards your monthly download allowance. Unused GBs do not carry over to the next billing month.
There are eight key factors that can impact the speed of your internet service. We do not guarantee that you will always receive speeds close to the maximum stated speed. The actual speed might be affected by:

  • The length of the copper wire from the telephone exchange to your premises;
  • The number and type of other services being used over the copper wires;
  • The line quality of the copper wire between the telephone exchange and your premises;
  • Electrical interference from outside sources;
  • Copper wiring within your premises;
  • The programs you use on your computer;
  • Your hardware or software;
  • The speed of the web sites you visit.

Terms

Contract term: 24 month minimum contract term.
Pro rated early termination fee up to: $300. If you terminate your contract before the agreed end date, a pro rated early termination fee will apply for the months remaining on your term contract. You will be required to sign up to a new 24 month contract term if you change between any of our broadband plans while you are on a term contract. You will not be required to pay an early termination fee.

Peak and off-peak periods

All times that are not included in the off-peak period are part of the peak period. At least 12 hours each calendar day will be designated as “off-peak”. As at September 4, 2009, the off-peak period is from 8pm to 8am Sydney local time, 7 days a week. We may alter the off-peak period at any time by giving you at least 14 days written notice. For the avoidance of doubt, if we alter the off-peak period, this will not give you the right to terminate your service without incurring an early termination fee.

Residential use only

This plan is only available for residential use and must not be used for commercial purposes or on-sold. If, based on your off-peak period usage we suspect that your use of the service is not only residential use, you may be required to demonstrate to our reasonable satisfaction that your usage is only residential use. If you are unwilling or unable to demonstrate to our reasonable satisfaction that your usage is only residential use, AAPT may terminate your service without further notice to you and may charge you an early termination fee.
