Important things to know (mobile)
- AAPT's Standard Form of Agreement applies.
- You must have a home phone (local and long distance) service with AAPT. See our home phone plans for details.
- You must have credit approval to set up a new account.
- If you have signed to a 3-in-1 bundle, your monthly charges and minimum monthly commitment are set out in the terms and conditions for the 3-in-1 plan. All other charges will apply
- If you cancel your home phone service you will pay an additional $10 monthly fee for unbundling.
- AAPT reserves the right to limit the number of mobile services on your account.
- An ACMA mobile number levy is applied annually and the price is determined by the ACMA. In 2008 it was $0.81 (GST exempt).

Exclusions
Included value excludes GPRS and data usage, international calls, national and international roaming, premium and third party services (including competition lines, adult or gaming services), and special service calls (such as operator and directory assistance, 13, 18 and 19 calls).
Equipment charges
You can bring your existing mobile phone to AAPT or pay for a new phone over 24 monthly instalments.
Paying for your handset in monthly instalments
- You can choose to pay the outstanding balance on your mobile phone any time after the first month.
- Your minimum monthly commitment (excluding call charges) is calculated by adding:
- The monthly instalment amount for your new phone
- Your monthly mobile subscription
- Your home phone subscription (if any) plus line rental
- You are responsible for any repair costs outside the manufacturer's warranty
- If you cancel your mobile service or fail to pay any charges when they’re due, then the unpaid balance of the mobile phone plus any other outstanding charges are due immediately
Bringing your phone with you (BYO)
- Your minimum monthly commitment (excluding call charges) is calculated by adding:
- Your monthly mobile subscription
- Your home phone subscription (if any) plus line rental
